There is something very relaxing about soaking in a hot bath, candles lit, and music playing. If you have a great surrounding atmosphere to go along with it, the serenity is enhanced.
It's not just about that same old bathtub against the wall of the bathroom anymore. It's about different shapes and modern lines. Why not put the tub in the middle of the room? That's okay too.
The creativity put
into the bathroom space to the left is inspiring because it's taking something
compact and making it appear larger, yet still has intimacy. The stairs and
vertical lines of the shower create height, while the horizontal lines of the
bathtub create an intimate and personal area.
Tubs and bathrooms are still evolving. The stylized shaping of this tub to the right gives a sense of modernism, a water closet with pizazz. Definitely for the confident bather that isn't afraid to sing in the shower at the top of his or her lungs.
You may have all
heard it, "the kitchen and bathroom sells the house." It's easy to
see why. A bathroom is a personal space. Creating that space with function in
mind is important, but adding the asthetic, the je ne sais quois, is what makes
a space to live in.
Make it say
something about you. Don't be afraid to add your personality. It doesn't have
to scream "magazine cover." It could say, "yep, I like
this." Or, "I can definitely be comfortable in my own skin,
here."
